Our concept
First Cut+ is a program launched in 2020 for boosting the promotion & audience engagement strategies of feature films that previously took part in a TATINO Program (First Cut Lab, Full Circle Lab, Pop Up Film Residency).
First Cut+ has two yearly programs:
– One with When East Meets West.
– A new one initiated in 2026 with the Munich Film Festival.
Participating projects benefit from lectures and individual mentoring consultations on promotion, marketing, PR & press, festivals, and sales strategy from various film industry consultants. This is followed by a works-in-progress organized under the ‘First Cut+’ label, open to selected decision makers (sales agents & distributors, festivals’ programmers, etc). Each program also benefit from the financial support of a sponsor, allowing a selected project to be awarded the First Cut+ Award.
