Biography
After a Master Degree in International Project Management with a specialization in Film Studies and Film Financing at La Sorbonne, Ali Khechen has worked as Project Coordinator at the Short Film Corner – Festival de Cannes (2008 -2010), Industry Manager at the Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico (2010- 2014) and was part of the Projects Selection Committee of the Sanad Film Fund of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival (2012-2014).
He is currently working for the Doha Film Institute as Film Training Senior Manager, he is also the Industry Manager of Qumra, an initiative that seeks to provide mentorship, nurturing, and hands-on development for filmmakers from the Arab world and around the world.
