First Cut Lab Trieste 2016 took place from January 24 to 26 during When East Meets West coproduction platform. 3 long feature fiction films in editing phase from Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria were selected to participate. Producer/director teams received tailor-made advice from a consultant editor and expert feedback from top international film professionals. Consultant editor for this edition was Benjamin Mirguet. Advisers were: Violeta Bava, Konstantinos Kontovrakis, Alessandro Raja, Sandro Fiorin, Vanja Kaludjercic, Paolo Moretti, Meinolf Zurhorst, Amra Baksic Camo, Guillaume De Seille and Fernando Epstein.
