Biography

Former engineer, Guillaume Dreyfus is an independant movie producer since 2009. He has produced features and shorts both in fiction and documentary.  

He has won the French Academy Award for best short in 2016 with Back Alley (also selected at Cannes Critics Week and Best actress award in Sundance), and the Palme d’or for a short film with The Distance Between Us and the Sky in 2019.

 

 

His latest feature Rascal was an official selection at Cannes 2020.

He created in 2017 Tripode Productions with Delphine Schmit, a production company developing French films and international co-productions. Their latest film Dalva won numerous international awards in Cannes Critics Week, Karlovy Vary, Jerusalem, Cairo, Namur… Their films were selected and awarded in Cannes, Berlin, Locarno, Toronto… 

 

 

He graduated EAVE Producers’ Network in 2017.

He created in 2017 and still manages Shortcuts, a sales agent specialized in shorts. 

He has been a commissioner at Cinémas du monde for 3 years, and has been a script reader for Canal+, ARTE France Cinéma and Orange Studio

He teaches film production at ESCP Europe and ENSAV Toulouse.
