Biography
Drawing from her thirty years experience in festival programming, film publicity and producing, Kathleen McInnis helps world cinema filmmakers merge their creative and business development via the film festival circuit. As strategic publicist, Kathleen represents world cinema films premiering at Toronto, Cannes, Berlin, Sundance, and Karlovy Vary festivals. As
producer, Kathleen’s recent films include RETABLO (2019 BAFTA and Film Independent Spirit Award-nominee; Peru’s official Oscar-submission), and the Swedish feature documentary-in-production, BROADCAST (Plattform Produktions). Kathleen currently curates the Seattle Int’l Film Festival’s New Works-in-Progress Forum. Previously, Kathleen has held titles of Director of Programming, Director of
Publicity/Marketing, and Festival Director as well as Programmer/Curator at festivals such as Seattle, Slamdance, Palm Springs, Aspen, Hot Docs, Tribeca and Toronto International Film Festivals, among others. Kathleen has taught festival strategies and creative marketing at LMU School of Film and Television, NYU-Tisch Asia/Singapore, and UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
