Biography
Naomi Levari is a German-American-Israeli producer and development executive. Since co-founding Black Sheep Film Productions in 2010, she has led the company to become a hallmark of selective, high-quality television and film content. Known for pushing the boundaries of drama, form, and production, Black Sheep is renowned for its unforgettable characters and socially relevant themes.
The company has achieved international recognition, with its work frequently premiering at prestigious A-list festivals such as
Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Series Mania, and Toronto. Its projects have garnered over 100 awards, including two Television Academy Awards for Best Series.
In 2018, Naomi played a pivotal role in establishing Electric Sheep GmbH, a Berlin-based sister company. Its debut project won the Producers Award at the Hamburg Film Festival, premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and was selected as Slovakia’s entry to the Oscars.
Alongside her roles in both companies, Naomi is a sought-after script editor, mentor, and consultant, known for her meticulous attention to detail across all aspects of filmmaking. She works closely with Tatino Films and has collaborated with organizations such as the Berlinale Script Station, Canal+ Poland, First Cut Lab, Berlinale Co-Production Market, Full Circle Lab Philippines, Sam Spiegel Script Lab, Lodz Film School and Netflix Grow Creative.
