Biography
Rémi Bonhomme is the Artistic director of the Marrakech International Film Festival and director of the Atlas Workshops, the festival’s industry platform dedicated to supporting filmmakers from the African continent and the Arab world.
From 2009 to 2020, he was Programme Manager of Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique where he initiated Next Step, a workshop that guides short film directors as they work towards their first feature-length works.
He began his career in Lebanon as a cultural officer at the French Institute in Beirut before co-founding the independent Metropolis Cinema and producing the Lebanese feature film Every Day Is a Holiday by Dima El-Horr.
