Biography
Working for Italian production company Videomante until 2012, Samantha Faccio has a background in documentary production as a researcher and line producer of projects such as Valentino’s Gift by Pier Paolo Giarolo (sold to Arte and YLE) and The Special Need by Carlo Zoratti, which premiered at Locarno and received major awards at Leipzig DOK Festival, SXSW Film Festival, Dallas International Film Festival and Trieste Film Festival.
She moved to production and distribution company Tucker Film in 2013, focusing on the Italian distribution of films from Friuli Venezia Giulia (such as Zoran, il mio nipote scemo by Matteo Oleotto; Tir by Alberto Fasulo and The Special Need by Carlo Zoratti) and the Far East (working on the distribution of films by Asian masters such as Lee Chang-Dong, Yasujiro Ozu, Wong Kar Wai and Ryusuke Hamaguchi among others). The feature film The Angel in the
Wall by Friulian director Lorenzo Bianchini is Samantha’s first production of a fiction film. Samantha attended EAVE Producers Workshop in 2011 and EAVE-Ties That Bind in 2016.
