Biography
Yohann Comte is the cofounder of Charades, a sales and co-production company based in Paris but with a global reach. Founded in 2017 with partners from Wild Bunch, Studiocanal and Asuna, Charades offers a fresh perspective and wealth of experience in international sales, packaging and distribution to films that interest the partners. Charades’ previously represented Kirill Serebrennikov’s LETO – Cannes Official Competition – DIAMANTINO by Gabriel Abrantes and Daniel Schmidt –
Grand Prix Nespresso of Cannes’ Critics’ Week – Mamoru Hosoda’s Japanese animation MIRAI – premiered at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight and was nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film. Their 2019 titles include Christophe Honoré ON A MAGICAL NIGHT – Cannes Un Certain Regard – and I LOST MY BODY by Jérémy Clapin – Grand Prix Nespresso of Cannes’ Critics’ Week which was bought by Netflix for the world and nominated for Animated Feature Film for Oscars 2020.
