Biography

David Hurst (1975) studied History before working in films, starting as a location and production manager. David joined Dublin Films in 2011 and is now its manager and main producer. The company is based in Bordeaux. David has built a strong editorial line, carrying fictions and documentaries which defend the singular points of view of their authors and concentrate on cultural, societal and political 

 

issues. In the past four years Dublin Films has been supporting emerging talents throughout the world, especially in Latin America. Recently, David coproduced the Syrian fiction « My Favorite Fabric » (2018 – Cannes UCR), the documentary « La Vida en Común » (2019 – Visions du Réel, Sheffield), and he produced « La Arrancada » by Aldemar Matias (2019 – Berlinale Panorama).
