Biography

Emmanuel Pisarra is Head of Acquisitions at mk2 Films, the Paris-based company behind international successes such as IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT (2025), SENTIMENTAL VALUE (2025), ANATOMY OF A FALL (2023) and PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE (2019). With over a decade of experience in international sales and acquisitions, he previously held senior roles at Kinology and Doc & Film International,

handling global rights for films by the likes of Leos Carax, Mia Hansen-Løve, Gianfranco Rosi, and Chantal Akerman. From 2021 to 2024, he led Unifrance’s Asia office in Tokyo, overseeing activities across Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and India, and directed three editions of the Yokohama French Film Festival.
