Biography

Mariko Bobrik (Fukuoka, Japan. 1983) studied directing at the Łódź Film School (Poland). She was selected for the Cannes Cinéfondation (2012) and the Berlinale Talents programme’s Script Station (2013). To date, she has directed the short films Kooniklaster (2007), winner of the award for Best International Short Film at the 

Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, Vena Cava (2009) and Necesito saber (2015), presented at the Cannes Festival.
