Olena Decock is the Manager, Funds & Labs at Hot Docs, North America’s largest documentary festival, where she oversees the CrossCurrents Canada Doc Fund, Hot Docs-Slaight Family Fund and Hot Docs-Blue Ice Docs Fund. She provides professional development training to filmmakers on how to pitch their work and navigate the international market.
Olena has 10-years’ experience working at international film festivals, including two years as Programming Associate to TIFF’s Middle East & Africa selections. She produced the short films DRUH (’22) and DZIADZIO (‘18) which world premiered at TIFF and was named by NOW Magazine as one of the top Canadian short films of the festival. Born and raised in Toronto, Olena is fluent in French and proficient in karaoke.
