First Cut Lab Poland is a programme designed for feature fiction films in editing phase from Poland. 

Selected producer/director teams screened their full rough cut in a private session and received expert feedback on their edit from three international film advisors (including Head of Lab Matthieu Darras), as well as tailor-made advice from consultant editor Benjamin Mirguet. The three advisors were:

Patricia Drati (Denmark) – Producer and story editor at Good Company Pictures

Benny Drechsel (Germany) – Producer at Rohfilm Productions

Myriam Sassine (Lebanon) – Producer at Abbout Productions

The workshop took place from 18-21 September 2019 in Gdynia during the Polish Film Festival.

All 3 selected projects went on to participate in First Cut+: The Getaway King and Simple Things in Trieste 2020 and Broad Peak in Karlovy Vary 2020.
