Congratulations are in order! Two First Cut Lab supported films were awarded at the Visions du Réel:

• Special Mention from Jury for KHMERICA by Thibaut Amri, Antoine Guide & Lucas Sénécaut, selected in International Medium and Short Film Competition. This medium-length documentary was part of the First Cut Lab Doha 2022.
• Audience Award for CUTTING THROUGH ROCKS by Mohammadreza Eyni & Sara Khaki, selected in Grand Angle Program. This feature film documentary was at First Cut Lab Doha 2024.

We were also proud to see Mamadou Khouma Gueye’s THE ATTACHMENT, a First Cut Lab Doha 2024 supported film, have its World premiere in the International Feature Film Competition at such an important festival for documentary cinema.
First Cut Lab has been supporting more and more documentary projects, and seeing three supported films being recognized at Visions du Réel is truly an achievement to be proud of.
