All advisers FCL Karlovy Vary and Kosovo confirmed
Nine advisers will be ready to give feedback on the projects selected for the first edition of First Cut Lab in Karlovy Vary next month during the KVIFF Eastern Promises Industry Days.
The teams of After the Winter from Montenegro, And They May Still Be Alive Today from Romania and January from Bulgaria will benefit from the expertise of a very diverse group of industry leaders from Belgium, China, France, Philippines, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden and USA.
The FCL team will travel on to Kosovo after Karlovy Vary to work on the first features of female filmmakers More Raça (Andromeda Galaxy) and Norika Sefa (Looking for Venera) together with two new advisers that were just confirmed. Find out all their names below!

Frédéric Boyer (France) – artistic director of Tribeca FF & Les Arcs FF
Anna Ciennik (Poland/France) – Project Manager at LIM & Industry Manager at Les Arcs FF
Kriz Anthony Gazmen (Philippines) – creative director at Black Sheep and Executive producer of the Filipino film ‘Ode to Nothing’ in main competition of KVIFF
Juraj Krasnohorsky (Slovakia) – producer at Artichoke
John Nein (USA) – senior programmer at Sundance FF
Freddy Olsson (Sweden) – senior programmer at Goteborg FF
Susana Santos Rodrigues (Portugal) – distributor (VAIVEM), film programmer/international delegate (Karlovy Vary, Cinéma du Réel, Rio de Janeiro and Bildrausch), and project analyst (HBF, Doha, ICA)
Wim Vanacker (Belgium) – Director of European Short Pitch, Editorial consultant First Cut Lab, Selection Committee member for the Official Short Film Competition of the Cannes Film Festival
Meng Xie (China) – producer and sales agent at Rediance Films – with a film in main competition in KVIFF (« Mosaic Portrait »)
Organised together with Karlovy Vary IFF as part of the Eastern Promises Industry Days, FCL Karlovy Vary will take place from 2nd to 6th of July 2019.

Marie Dubas (France) producer at Deuxième Ligne Films. She recently co-produced Teona Mitevska’s Berlinale Competition entry « God Exists, Her Name is Petrunija ».
Eve Gabereau (UK) distributor & producer at her own company Modern Films. Previously long time director of Soda Pictures.
FCL Kosovo is organized with the support of the Kosovo Cinematography Centre, and takes place from July 17th to 19th 2019 in parallel to the Prishtina Film Forum.
