First Cut Lab goes to Lithuania!

First Cut Lab keeps expanding its horizons in 2020, starting next week in a new European capital: Vilnius. Running from 2.-5. of March with the financial support of the Lithuanian Film Centre, two projects from Lithuania and one from Estonia are selected to participate.

Our team, that for this workshop consists of consultant editor Benjamin Mirguet and editorial consultant Wim Vanacker, is energized to take a deep dive into the edits together with three fresh advisers:

Marcin Pieńkowski, artistic director of New Horizons FF Wroclaw.

Suzy Gillett, Teacher @ ESAV Marrakech & Barbican Center / iFeature Lab Producer.

Cosima Finkbeiner, Senior Festival Manager & Sales @ Beta Cinema.

After First Cut Lab, the three workshopped films will further be eligible to participate in First Cut+ Karlovy Vary, including promotion consultancy and a Works in Progress screening, that will take place in July 2020. First Cut Lab is glad to be working with more Lithuanian films, especially after having Marija Kavtaradze’s succesful first feature Summer Survivors in the workshop before, in Trieste 2018.
