FIRST CUT LAB RE-ACT 2019

First Cut Lab RE-ACT is a programme designed for 4 feature fiction films in editing phase from Croatia, Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Serbia and Slovenia.

Selected producer/director teams screened their full rough cut in a private session and received expert feedback on their edit from international film advisers, as well as tailor-made advice from consultant editors Benjamin Mirguet and Matthieu Taponier.

Advisers for the workshop were:

Daniela Cölle (Germany) – Festivals & Acquisitions at Pluto Film

Ilaria Gomarasca (France/Italy) – Head of First Cut+

Christoph Gröner (Germany) – Artistic Director Filmfest Muenchen

David Hurst (France) – Producer and owner of Dublin Films

Naomi Levari (Israel/Germany) – Producer at Black Sheep Film Productions and Electric Sheep

Karel Och (Czech Republic) – Artistic Director Karlovy Vary IFF

The workshop took place from 18-21 November 2019 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Two selected projects went on to participate in First Cut+: The Staffroom in Trieste 2020 and Oasis in Karlovy Vary 2020.
